Datadog, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and scale foundational architecture for AI-driven operations. You will synthesize large data sets into structured knowledge and build reliable, scalable systems for automated modifications, with a focus on production reliability and observability.

You will lead greenfield initiatives, own features end-to-end, and collaborate with users to refine early concepts in a hybrid Datadog environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering.
• BS/MS/PhD in a scientific field or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in Go.
• Comfortable building and operating production services end to end: own features and components; ensure reliability and observability.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience using AI coding tools in day-to-day workflows; validate and refine AI outputs.
• Bonus: experience with Kubernetes, workflow orchestration, or building AI agents.

Responsibilities

• Lead a greenfield initiative from inception to scale, shaping foundational product architecture and engaging with users to refine concepts.
• Build mission-critical solutions that customers depend on daily.
