Job summary

Alice & Bob is building the first universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer. You will design RF hardware and control electronics to scale quantum processors, building test benches and custom RF hardware to meet precision needs across teams.

Reporting to the Hermes Team Lead, you will work with quantum hardware, physics, and software engineers, using Python for automation and 3D EM simulations. French/English communication preferred; some tasks may allow remote work.

Qualifications

• Master's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, RF/Microwave Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 5+ years of RF design, characterization, and control electronics experience.
• Strong RF design and signal processing skills with hands-on PCB design.
• Comfortable with FPGA integration for control electronics and RF test equipment.
• Python skills for test automation and remote instrument control.

Responsibilities

• Design custom RF hardware (power amplifiers, LNAs, filters, bias tees) and PCB front-ends where commercial solutions fall short, using 3D EM simulation to validate designs before prototyping.
• Define measurement plans and build test setups and characterization benches, running V&V with VNAs, oscilloscopes, SMUs, and spectrum analyzers.
• Design or upgrade RF/DC systems to evolving requirements for scale up of quantum processors and control channels.
• Troubleshoot technical issues across instrumentation, control electronics, and PCB hardware, driving root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Quantum Hardware Infra teams, physicists, and software engineers; document work as you go.
