Alice & Bob is building a universal fault-tolerant quantum computer. Senior Staff Engineer will shape the software infrastructure, enabling autonomous operation of quantum processors across HPC, on-prem, and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 12+ years building large-scale, high-reliability systems, infra layers, or scientific platforms.
• Demonstrated experience architecting complex infrastructure and data-heavy distributed systems.
• Expertise in Python, async frameworks, service design, data orchestration, and performance optimization.
• Deep knowledge of storage: SQL, NoSQL, timeseries, object storage, distributed filesystems.
• Hands-on with automation systems (schedulers, workflow engines, data pipelines).

Responsabilités

• Define and lead the architecture of the Quantum Infrastructure layer between control software and user services.
• Partner with hardware & control SW teams to integrate qubit calibration, stabilization loops, and error cycles.
• Design backbone for real-time feedback between hardware, error correction, and automation systems.
• Architect data and service layers for quantum error-correction frameworks and decoding workflows.
• Mentor engineers, set technical direction, and drive cross-team alignment on architecture.
