Job summary

Semble is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to drive the evolution of our engineering platform. You will champion best practices, shape team goals, and remove friction for engineers through better tooling and enablement.

The role emphasizes architectural judgment, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration focused on developer experience. You’ll work on developer productivity, cloud infrastructure, and observability, with a strong emphasis on automation, governance, and scalable platforms

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of software engineering experience
• Experience building internal developer platforms or self-service tooling
• Ability to design paved roads (golden paths) for engineers
• Experience improving CI/CD pipelines for speed and feedback
• Comfort writing documentation and conducting training
• Familiarity with developer experience metrics (e.g., DORA) and monitoring
• Experience with developing observability tools and practices (e.g., Datadog)

Responsibilities

• Improve developer productivity and enablement through self-service tooling and golden paths
• Enhance infrastructure and platform reliability with modern CI/CD and Terraform-based tooling
• Mentor engineers and participate in cross-functional planning and governance
• Champion observability and improve how engineers measure success
• Contribute to platform roadmap and drive frictionless developer experiences
• Collaborate with security and other teams to maintain compliance and security posture
