Job summary

Airbus Operations SAS in Toulouse, France, seeks a Patent Attorney to join the IP department. You will lead drafting, filing, and prosecution of patent applications, and provide expert advice on patentability for Airbus innovations.

The role requires CEIPI qualification with EPA preferred, 5+ years in IP, and fluent English. Experience in aerospace is highly desirable; you will collaborate with engineering and programs to safeguard IP and support strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• CEIPI qualification required; EPA qualification strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in an IP department (industry or law firm).
• Experience in an industrial environment or aerospace industry is desirable.
• Negotiation-level English required; ability to work autonomously under EQE regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead drafting, filing, and prosecution of patent applications.
• Conduct inventor cross-examinations and provide expert advice on patentability.
• Manage a broad patent portfolio with focus on mechanical systems and processes.
• Support IP-centric agreements and IP litigation/pre-dispute work as needed.
• Collaborate with internal functions (Engineering, Procurement, Programs) to provide IP guidance.
