Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. seeks a senior Packaging Architect to own the package architecture from feasibility to tape-out and production readiness, coordinating across product, silicon, assembly, and OSAT teams to ensure robust, manufacturable solutions.

With a Master’s in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years in package design, you will drive design-rule workflows, mentoring engineers, and influencing roadmaps while integrating AI-enabled tools to enhance efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• PhD candidates welcome to apply.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in package architecture and co-design.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturability, assembly, substrates, materials and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Own package architecture and execution from feasibility through tape-out and production readiness.
• Serve as technical authority for complex package issues and lead cross-functional reviews.
• Advance design rules, methodologies, and automation workflows for future products.
• Represent packaging in Silicon–package–board co-design and resolve cost/value trade-offs.
• Apply AI-enabled tools responsibly to improve research, analysis and outcomes.
