Job summary

Linesight is seeking a Senior Cost Manager MEP to lead cost management on major projects. You will analyse cost reports, prepare budgets, and drive value through rigorous benchmarking and cost control.

You will monitor project costs against budgets, oversee procurement, risk management, and change evaluation, and mentor teams while engaging with senior management. Interactions with diverse stakeholders require clear communication and collaborative problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Extensive cost management experience on large, complex projects.
• Ability to read MEP drawings and schematics.
• RICS chartered or on the path to qualification.
• Degree or comparable qualification in construction, quantity surveying, mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Strong ownership, accountability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Detail-oriented and quality-focused.
• Ability to manage priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Analyse cost reports and review with senior management.
• Prepare budgets with detailed cost modelling and benchmarking.
• Manage project costs against budget, including cost reviews and value engineering.
• Monitor financial close-out on projects and settle vendors.
• Provide guidance on commercial change management and evaluation.
• Oversee RFPs through to procurement for project services and products.
• Lead commercial risk management efforts.
• Review analytics for project cash flow and earned value.
