Armstrong World Industries is seeking a Senior/Principal Mechanical Project Engineer in the OH area. You will lead capital projects from concept through installation and startup, coordinating with manufacturing, innovation, and operations teams to drive results.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and lifecycle performance, with opportunities to mentor engineers and collaborate with external vendors on equipment design and deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of experience in project planning and execution in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Hands‑on experience with equipment installation, construction, and startup.

Responsabilités

• Lead and execute major capital projects from concept through installation and startup.
• Specify production equipment and collaborate with vendors to design, procure, install, and commission assets.
• Investigate issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve performance and reliability.
• Provide technical leadership and guide engineers and maintenance personnel across groups.
