MaiaSpace is seeking a Senior Design Engineer for the First Stage team in France to drive stage layout and hardware integration. You will model in SolidWorks, manage data in SolidWorks PDM, and optimize mass and cost of components for space vehicles.

The role demands hands-on mechanical design experience, strong collaboration across disciplines, and fluent communication in English and French with suppliers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering degree with 5+ years post-Baccalaureate.
• At least 3 years of experience in related field.
• Experience with CAD design using SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of metallic materials and manufacturing processes.
• English reading/writing technical docs and presenting orally.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to stage layout and management of stage interfaces.
• Perform trade-offs to meet mass and cost targets for the First Stage.
• 3D CAD modelling of First Stage and PDM data management in SolidWorks.
• Propose hardware designs for lines, harnesses, and supports.
• Coordinate with other MaiaSpace teams and suppliers.
• Follow part manufacturing and integration with industrialization support.
• Contribute to anomaly treatment and agile mechanical design activities.
