Job summary

MaiaSpace in France is seeking a First Stage Propulsive Engine System Technical Leader to drive the engine propulsion systems for the MSP launcher. You will manage specifications, ensure convergence with launcher architects, and focus on first-stage engine optimization for both expendable and reusable configurations.

You will contribute to test plans, flight preparation, and the engine technical database, coordinating with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in aerospace engineering.
• >10 years of professional experience in liquid propulsion and launcher systems.
• Sound knowledge in fluid systems, avionics systems and mechanical architecture, design and development.
• Sound knowledge of cryogenic fluids, control and regulation, mechanical justification.
• Sound knowledge of launcher system architecture design (function analysis, phase analysis, specification...).
• Experience with development and qualification process and supplier management.

Responsibilities

• Design (Mechanical, Functional & Avionics).
• Concept studies, including trade-offs.
• Technical specification Requirements.
• Functional and justification files synthesis for MSP;
• Safety file;
• Roadmap and logics i.e tests
• Supplier management
• Coordinate with engine supplier to ensure convergence
• Support propulsion roadmap; industrialization and operation
