Polène is seeking Leather Goods Designers to join its Studio in Paris, driving the creation and development of leather goods collections from concept to prototyping. You will collaborate with the Collection and Sourcing teams and workshops in France and Spain, translating briefs into sketches, technical drawings, and mock-ups, while staying updated on trends and craftsmanship.

You should have 5+ years in bag design, strong leather construction knowledge, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in bag design, preferably luxury maisons.
• Excellent knowledge of leather goods construction, leather and metal hardware.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and hand sketching.
• Strong understanding of leather goods construction and manufacturing techniques; team workshops experience.
• Hands-on approach with prototyping experience (Salpa and/or microfiber) is a plus.
• Creative, autonomous, rigorous and highly organized with adaptable prioritization.
• Creative sensibility aligned with Polène’s DNA and materials-focused mindset.

Responsabilités

• Conduct creative and visual research and build moodboards.
• Translate concepts into sketches, drawings, simulations and mock-ups.
• Create mock-ups at different development stages for testing and refinement.
• Develop technical specifications and correction sheets for workshops.
• Oversee technical development with collections and workshops in France/Spain.
• Participate in design reviews and lead project progress discussions.
• Stay updated on trends, materials, craftsmanship and innovations.
