Job summary

Metric Geo is seeking an experienced Superintendent for heavy civil construction in Indianapolis. The role focuses on hands-on field leadership, with emphasis on earthwork, underground utilities, and paving across large-scale projects.

The ideal candidate will have INDOT/DOT highway project exposure, proven team leadership, and a track record of delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget. This position requires strong on-site supervision and coordination with project management.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Superintendent in heavy civil construction.
• Strong knowledge of earthwork, underground utilities and paving.
• Previous INDOT/DOT highway and roadway project exposure.
• Proven ability to lead field teams and deliver projects safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day field operations across heavy civil projects.
• Manage crews, foremen, subcontractors and equipment on site.
• Coordinate earthwork, underground utility installation and paving activities.
• Ensure projects meet schedules, quality and safety requirements.
• Work with Project Managers to drive productivity and control costs.
• Monitor materials, resources and site progress to keep projects on track.
