Job summary

Mistral is building a sovereign AI cloud for Europe. You will own the systems powering our cloud infrastructure, writing Go, shaping architecture, and making tough technical calls to scale toward a gigawatt of capacity.

You will lead a small squad of engineers, partner with Product Managers, and Ship reliable, high‑performing software for finance, healthcare, and public sector workloads while mentoring the team to grow their skills.

Qualifications

• Shipped production systems in Go
• 8+ years building backend or infrastructure systems
• 2+ years leading engineers
• Experience partnering with product/core teams to ship software

Responsibilities

• Design and ship the systems powering our cloud infrastructure.
• Write Go and own architecture decisions, not just roadmaps.
• Run Kubernetes in production and troubleshoot at scale.
• Lead a small squad of engineers and remove obstacles to help the team succeed.
• Partner with Product Managers to align priorities and tradeoffs.
• Define processes and execution rituals as the platform scales to high capacity.
• Mentor engineers and raise the engineering bar across the org.
