Yahoo is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Dev Engineer to build secure, scalable Customer Care systems serving hundreds of millions of users. You will own end-to-end features, mentor peers, and collaborate with PMs, UX, Security and other Yahoo squads in an AI-first engineering environment.

The role emphasizes API-first design, security, performance, and close integration with AI tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot to drive rapid delivery while upholding quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of professional full-stack software engineering experience.
• Experience with Java backend services and React/TypeScript frontend.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and web security.
• Experience integrating AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot).
• Ability to audit and debug AI-generated code for safety and correctness.
• Familiar with testing frameworks and modern CI/CD pipelines.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and operate high-scale Customer Care and Identity systems using React, TypeScript, and Java/Node.js with a focus on security and availability.
• Lead an AI-first development workflow and ensure AI-generated assets are validated and safe.
• Own end-to-end full-stack features, from requirements to production monitoring.
• Identify AI-driven efficiencies and automate repetitive tasks.
• Optimize performance and reliability with AI-assisted profiling and diagnostics.
• Mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, and raise engineering standards.
• Audit and debug AI-generated code to meet security and performance standards.
• Collaborate with PMs, UX, Security, and other Yahoo squads on integrations.
