Job summary

Supermicro in Paris is seeking an experienced FAE/Systems Optimization Engineer to drive technical sales activities for server, storage, and networking solutions. You will work with Sales and extended teams to ensure designs meet customer requirements and demonstrate hands-on capabilities with Supermicro products.

The role requires at least 5 years in compute/storage IT, strong x86 knowledge, and fluency in French.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with Compute/Storage Server or data center IT infrastructure.
• Strong background in x86-based server architecture.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• French language required; Paris area preferred.
• Willing to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Map end-user requirements to optimized technical solutions.
• Provide pre-sales leadership and oversee solution implementations.
• Lead HW and SW engineers during development.
• Diagnose field issues and drive resolution.
• Develop and present technical bids and PoCs.
• Coordinate cross‑department to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Present product messaging to customers and partners.
• Occasionally visit on-site facilities for integration.
