Job summary

Haley & Aldrich seeks a Senior Client Development Manager, Energy to grow work with electric and gas utilities, IPPs, and energy developers. You will lead capture planning, pursue strategies, and maintain client relationships across the energy sector.

The role requires energy market knowledge and experience selling AEC services, with a hybrid work arrangement and in-office presence several days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, geotechnical, mechanical engineering, geology, or related technical discipline.
• 8+ years in business development, client development, capture, or consultative sales.
• 5+ years selling environmental, geotechnical, or AEC services to energy clients.
• Experience with electric utilities and energy market dynamics.
• Proven ability to create capture plans, client value props, win themes, and pursuit strategies.
• Strong proposal writing and editing skills for technical content.
• Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce or Deltek Vantagepoint).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement capture plans for priority pursuits in the energy market.
• Build and maintain a qualified pipeline with utilities, energy developers, and oil & gas firms.
• Analyze market drivers, policy trends, and competitive landscape.
• Provide insights on client needs, market dynamics, and competition.
• Lead pursuit decisions with Market Leader and Legal for due diligence and risk.
• Coordinate proposals, budgets, and resource mobilization for bids.
• Ensure prequalified responses are used for compliance.
• Collaborate with business development, technical experts, and client teams.
• Track pipeline progress using CRM and forecasting tools.
