Harmattan AI in Paris seeks an Embedded Electrical Engineer to join the R&D team and own compute modules and boards from system architecture through bring-up and qualification. This hands-on role blends high-speed digital design with bench work on real hardware for mission-critical platforms.

You will design around PCIe, 10 Gb Ethernet, USB 3.x, and MIPI, manage power trees, and lead design reviews while coordinating with software and mechanical teams for flight-qualified hardware.

Qualifications

• MSc in electrical, computer, or related field; PhD a plus.
• 5+ years in embedded hardware design from spec to production.
• High-speed design with signal integrity and layout constraints.
• Processor-based systems with external memory (DDR, Flash).
• Power trees with verified power-up/down.
• Experience with fabrication/assembly partners.
• Excellent communication and autonomous problem solving.
• FPGA/MPSoC experience and defense hardware exposure are advantages.

Responsabilités

• Board design of SoMs, baseboards, and test boards.
• High-speed digital design around PCIe, 10 Gb Ethernet, USB 3.x, and MIPI.
• Power design, sequencing, and topology verification.
• Lead design reviews from block diagram to fabrication release.
• Coordinate with PCB/EMS partners on stack‑up and cost trade-offs.
• Define verification plans, bring-up, and qualification testing.
• Collaborate with embedded software, mechanical, and validation teams.
