Harmattan AI is seeking a senior hardware engineer to own electronics design end-to-end for field-deployable launchers. You will design complete mixed-signal and power boards, optimize BOM, and lead bring-up and testing in rigorous outdoor environments.

Key focus areas include 300 W DC/DC power design, thermal management, EMC/EMI, and robust environmental qualification. You will collaborate with embedded software and mechanical teams to ensure manufacturability and performance in production.

Qualifications

• Senior hardware engineer with PCB design and power electronics experience.
• Ability to design for production with cost and manufacturability in mind.
• Experience with outdoor-deployed equipment and environmental robustness.
• Strong schematics, layout, and bring-up skills; autonomy in a small team.

Responsabilités

• Schematic Design - complete schematics for mixed-signal and power boards.
• PCB Layout & Routing - ensure signal integrity, EMC, and power-path constraints.
• Power & Thermal Architecture - define and validate power and thermal strategies.
• Environmental Robustness - qualification planning for outdoor deployment.
• Component Selection & BOM Optimization - cost and reliability focused.
• Hardware Bring-up & Debug - lead bring-up, use test equipment, write scripts.
• EMC & Safety Compliance - address EMC challenges and electrical safety.
• Collaboration with Embedded SW - define interfaces and support firmware bring-up.
• Collaboration with Mechanical - ensure PCB integration in enclosures.
• Supplier & Manufacturing Ramp-up - qualify board houses and support NPI.
