Job summary

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Sr. Embedded & Digital Control Engineer to lead the DSP/FPGA control architecture and embedded implementation strategy for the SST, coordinating hierarchical control loops and HW/SW co-design across data-center power systems.

You'll define real-time implementation constraints, own system-scale validation of stability and dynamic load, mentor firmware engineers, and drive control interfaces with sensors, protection, and communications for reliable, scalable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with hierarchical control architectures.
• Experience leading cross-functional control/HW/SW delivery.
• Experience documenting design decisions, assumptions, trade-offs, risks and technical specifications.
• Experience using engineering analysis and measured evidence to drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Define DSP/FPGA architecture for hierarchical converter control.
• Coordinate fast inner loops, supervisory control and system-level control functions.
• Define control interfaces to power stages, sensors, protection and communications.
• Coordinate power-electronics, FPGA and embedded-software interfaces.
• Ensure real-time implementation constraints are reflected in control architecture.
