Job summary

Amazon Web Services is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer, Real-Time to develop deterministic real-time firmware for SST power-conversion control, PWM generation, diagnostics and protection-related functions.

You will work on bare-metal/FreeRTOS C/C++ firmware for PWM and conversion control on DSP/FPGA, ensuring ISR timing budgets and safe-state transitions in coordination with functional-safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with real-time firmware in power electronics or comparable high-performance systems.
• Experience and/or understanding of PWM, DSP/FPGA interfaces and deterministic timing.
• Experience documenting design decisions, assumptions, trade-offs, risks and technical specifications.
• Experience using engineering analysis and measured evidence to drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop bare-metal and/or FreeRTOS firmware in C/C++.
• Implement real-time PWM and power-conversion control drivers on DSP/FPGA platforms.
• Implement deterministic interfaces to sensors, control algorithms and hardware protection.
