Job summary

EGIDE in Paris region seeks an Electronics Engineer to lead the design and industrialization of electronic boards for high-volume defense systems, from embedded computing to safety-critical power electronics.

You will drive design-for-manufacturing, qualification, and ramp-up with suppliers and EMS partners, delivering cost-effective, reliable boards while collaborating with software, safety and production teams.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electronics or embedded systems.
• 5+ years of electronic board design and industrialization.
• Proven design-to-cost track record.
• Strong DFM/DFT and IPC standards knowledge.
• Experience managing EMS subcontractors from RFQ to series production.
• Hands-on PCB design with ECAD tools (Altium/Cadence/KiCad).
• Exposure to safety-critical electronics (defense, aerospace, ISO 26262, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Design and lead a standardized family of embedded boards with cost targets.
• Select components for cost, availability and volume (COTS/industrial/auto) and manage lifecycle risk.
• Drive design for high-volume manufacturing: DFM/DFT, SMT, panelization, in-line testing.
• Define manufacturing methods and processes: PFMEA, test benches, production documentation.
• Lead EMS partners: RFQs, cost breakdowns, transfer to production.
• Lead ramp-up from prototypes to pre-series and series: FAI, yield monitoring, root-cause analysis.
• Perform continuous cost-down and value engineering on released boards.
• Plan and execute validation/qualification per MIL/STD/IPC standards.
