Job summary

Symrise AG in Clichy seeks an EHS Manager to define and drive the EHS strategy for the site, aligning with global objectives and business priorities.

You will lead the EHS team, assess risks, implement mitigation plans and strengthen a proactive safety culture across laboratories, offices and support activities. Fluency in French and English is required for collaboration with international teams.

Qualifications

• University degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Sciences, Engineering or related field.
• At least 10 years of progressive EHS experience.
• Fluent in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the EHS strategy for the Clichy site.
• Lead and develop the EHS team, setting priorities and ensuring resources.
• Identify and prioritize environmental, health and safety risks with mitigation plans.
• Strengthen a proactive safety and prevention culture across laboratories, offices and sites.
• Advise management on EHS risks, regulatory requirements and strategic decisions.
• Integrate EHS requirements from transformation, real estate, laboratory and site development projects.
• Lead regulatory compliance and anticipate changes in French and European EHS regulations.
• Build relationships with external authorities and stakeholders (Labour Inspection, CRAMIF, OH services, local env authorities).
• Represent the site during regulatory inspections and audits; drive corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations and ensure sustainable corrective actions.
• Monitor EHS performance, drive continuous improvement, interact with regional/global EHS functions.
