Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an EHS Leader for a manufacturing site in France. You will define and deploy the EHS strategy, lead the EHS team, and ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

You will partner with management, support CSSCT activities, and coach colleagues on safety, environment, and working conditions. Strong English and cross-functional leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environment, Health & Safety, Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.
• Significant experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience managing ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 management systems.
• Previous experience in team management and cross-functional project leadership.
• Fluent business-level English is essential.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to defining and deploying the strategy within your area of responsibility, in close collaboration with management.
• Lead and organize all activities and resources related to your scope, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Act as a key advisor to General Management on all Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) matters.
• Support the definition and implementation of the company’s EHS policy, including occupational safety, working conditions, and environmental protection.
• Ensure the effectiveness, compliance, and continuous improvement of the EHS Management System in accordance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Identify, investigate, and analyze incidents, non-conformities, unsafe conditions, and operational deviations.
• Manage, review, and update the site risk assessment documentation.
• Prepare, coordinate, and lead CSSCT meetings and support employee representative bodies on EHS topics.
• Deliver and coordinate internal EHS training sessions and awareness programs.
• Manage the EHS team and monitor budgets and forecasts related to the EHS function.
