Job summary

NXP Semiconductors Caen development center is seeking a Digital ASIC/SoC Designer to join an experienced team. You will develop and implement digital logic for complex SoCs and IP blocks, using Verilog/SystemVerilog and performing verification, synthesis, STA, and formal checks.

You will collaborate with architects and software teams, contribute to DFT, and produce design documentation while staying current with industry trends and tools. English fluency is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in digital ASIC/SoC design and complete design flow.
• Proficiency in Verilog or SystemVerilog for RTL coding.
• Experience with industry-standard EDA tools for sim, synth, STA, formal verification.
• Strong knowledge of clocking, reset and low-power techniques.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Tcl) is a plus.
• Knowledge of I2C, SPI, UART, PCIe, Ethernet desirable.
• Strong analytical and teamwork skills; fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement digital logic designs for SoCs and IP blocks.
• Perform RTL coding in Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Conduct design verification, testbench development, simulation, debugging.
• Collaborate with architects and software teams to define interfaces.
• Participate in synthesis, STA, and formal verification to meet targets.
• Contribute to DFT implementation and verification.
• Generate design documentation and participate in design reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development lifecycle.
• Stay updated with trends, tools and methodologies in digital design.
