TheFork is seeking a Senior Data Engineering Manager to lead two data teams focused on building and maintaining a scalable data platform. You will drive data lakehouse initiatives, governance, and best practices, collaborating with governance, product, and architects to meet evolving data and engineering needs.

You will report to the Head of the tribe and shape data platform roadmaps, pipelines, and data products in a fast-growing, international environment with flexible hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and mentorship experience guiding data engineering teams.
• Extensive experience with Data Lakehouse architectures and implementation.
• Solid understanding of Data Mesh, including domain ownership, federated governance, and data product design.
• Solid understanding of Data Governance and Quality, covering metadata management, data lineage, and data observability.

Responsabilités

• Own and drive data platform roadmaps and strategy.
• Lead two teams of Data Engineers and Data Ops.
• Maintain robust batch ingestion and validation pipelines.
• Contribute to a self-service data platform and governance practices.
• Collaborate with Architects to shape system architecture and standards.
• Mentor team members and foster a culture of excellence.
• Run Proofs of Concept (POCs) to validate new approaches.
