Job summary

Ebury Paris is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to own the French portfolio from our Paris office, with hybrid work (4 days in-office, 1 day from home). You will analyze credit risk, prepare submissions for the Credit Committee, and help develop automated risk models while adapting processes to local markets.

The role demands deep knowledge of defaults, credit underwriting, and collections, combined with strong communication and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Native in French and fluent in English (essential).
• Analytical mind and strong problem-solving skills.
• Background in credit underwriting gained in the financial institution, preferably in the SME / Corporate space (min 4 years).
• Clear, structured, and concise communication style with the ability to explain complex concepts.
• Experience dealing directly with clients, one on one, and resolving issues.
• Strong understanding of accountancy principles.
• Understanding of FX markets and vanilla products.
• Ability to work in Excel in a professional setting.
• Willing to work from office (min. 4 days a week).

Responsibilities

• Support, and report to, the Regional Head of Credit Risk;
• Undertake ad hoc requests from Credit Risk Management Team;
• Perform detailed credit analysis of prospects and clients for granting trade finance and currency trading products, focusing on financials, operations, and trading cycles;
• Present and defend your analysis at credit committee meetings to senior management;
• Collaborate with front office and operations to ensure a smooth client experience and clear communication of decisions;
• Monitor an existing portfolio of clients;
• Proactively manage your own pipeline of work and ensure SLAs are met;
• Liaise with analysts and managers across geographies to add insight or assist where necessary;
• Share thoughts to improve processes.
