ZigZag is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to lead backend and infrastructure efforts as we unify our post-purchase and returns products. You’ll shape strategy, set standards, and drive reliability at scale across our cloud-based platform.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and own critical technology decisions while operating in a flexible hybrid/remote setup in France. English is the official language here.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in cloud architecture and scalable backend systems.
• Proficient with Ruby on Rails and modern backend tools.
• Excellent communication in English; French is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Define and drive a technology strategy aligned with product goals.
• Ensure reliability and performance of backend services and infrastructure.
• Lead CI/CD improvements and code reviews to improve quality and security.
• Architect and oversee cloud infrastructure, scaling during peak periods.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate constraints into solutions.
• Mentor squads and share best practices across teams.
