Partner Company in France is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design and operate core APIs and real-time services. You will own reliability, observability, and scalable architecture in a fully remote, globally distributed team.

You will work on production systems with Go and/or Node.js, Docker/Kubernetes, IaC (Terraform/AWS), and modern observability tools. Mentoring and collaboration across teams are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend experience, operating production systems.
• Experience with SRE practices, capacity planning, and resilience testing.
• Proficient in Go and/or Node.js, with openness to the other.
• Designing scalable backend systems and APIs.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and IaC tools.

Responsabilités

• Design and optimize highly performant backend services for real-time data processing.
• Define SLIs/SLOs and monitor reliability.
• Build observability with metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards, and alerts.
• Participate in on-call rotation and post-incident reviews.
• Automate operational tasks and reduce toil.
• Plan capacity, run load tests, and tune systems for growth.
• Investigate issues and translate findings into improvements.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure performance and reliability.
• Mentor engineers and raise technical standards.
