Licorne Society is seeking a Senior Backend Developer based in Paris or Bordeaux to join our Tech team. You will own backend components, collaborate with the Head of Software, and drive scalable design and high-impact feature development.

You'll work with Python as the main stack, with exposure to Node.js or Go, maintain production systems, optimize performance, and contribute to architecture decisions as we scale to handle tens of thousands of trips and real-time messages.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software development.
• Strong Python background; familiarity with Node.js or Go is a plus.
• Pragmatic problem-solving mindset with a focus on scalable, robust systems.

Responsabilités

• Feature development: build new backend features and contribute to the technical roadmap.
• Infrastructure maintenance & improvement: keep systems healthy and reliable at scale.
• Performance optimisation: reduce incidents and improve capacity planning for high load.
• Complex problem-solving: own deep technical challenges across backend components.
