Job summary

Odaseva in Paris is seeking a Senior Development Engineer to maintain and enhance our backend systems. You will work with Product Managers to translate business needs into technical solutions and collaborate with the Infrastructure team to ensure robust, scalable applications.

You’ll design and develop high-performing PHP/NodeJS components (plus Go/Python modules), mentor juniors, participate in code reviews, and drive technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years backend development experience with a focus on PHP/Go/NodeJS/Java.
• Proven track record delivering complex projects and improving product performance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain performant, scalable PHP/NodeJS applications and Go/Python modules.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to translate requirements into technical specs.
• Work with Infrastructure to optimize performance and ensure reliable deployment.
• Lead by example with clean, documented, testable code.
• Mentor junior developers and foster technical excellence.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain quality and best practices.
• Identify opportunities to refactor and reduce technical debt.
• Stay updated on PHP/NodeJS trends and related technologies.
