Alma, the buy now, pay later leader in France, is hiring a senior backend engineer to design and build scalable payment infrastructure across Europe. You will work on APIs and backend components powering thousands of merchants and millions of consumers, focusing on reliability, security and performance in a regulated fintech environment.

You will collaborate with product and tech leaders, own end-to-end incident response, and influence architectural decisions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend engineering on large-scale systems.

Responsibilities

• Build the payment infrastructure and backend components that power payments for thousands of merchants and millions of consumers.
• Raise the bar on quality, security and performance in a regulated fintech environment.
• Shape our technical architecture by collaborating with Product and tech leaders.
• Own reliability end-to-end including incident response and long-term improvements.
