Jus Mundi is expanding its Data Platform by building an autonomous, agent-driven system to acquire, process and enrich legal documents. We seek a Senior Backend Engineer with hands-on AI experience to own services behind the platform, including agents, catalog, API, and processing layers.

You will work in a small, senior Data team with cross-functional collaboration across Legal Content and Search, AI, and Product squads, shaping architecture and delivering scalable, reliable workflows for

Qualifications

• 5+ years shipping and operating production backend or data services.
• Hands-on experience building agent orchestration in production with tool calling, memory, state management and deterministic contracts.
• Deep data modelling for evolving schemas and provenance in Postgres.
• Experience with LLMs integration, API design, testing discipline and ownership of services.

Responsabilités

• Build and operate the data platform backend and agents that ingest documents from diverse sources.
• Own the transactional catalog and the platform API as the single source of truth.
• Implement document processing with OCR, metadata extraction and multilingual support.
• Define interfaces for broader squads and ensure production quality with tests, logging and observability.
• Provide end-to-end ownership from development to deployment and monitoring.
