Job summary

Jobgether seeks a Senior Backend Developer to design and build scalable services using Java and Spring Boot, integrating agentic AI and LLM workflows. You will own features end-to-end, craft REST APIs, and work across distributed systems in a remote-first, international environment.

You'll collaborate with product and engineering teams, apply best practices in testing and security, and leverage tools like Kafka, PostgreSQL, Hibernate, and modern AI development aids to deliver high-quality

Qualifications

• : At least six years of hands-on Java backend development experience, Java 17+ preferred.
• : Strong experience with Spring Boot 2.x/3.x and Hibernate 5.x/6.x for production-grade apps.
• : Experience building scalable distributed systems and REST APIs; comfortable with complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Java/Spring Boot backend services.
• Own features end-to-end from requirements to deployment and testing.
• Develop REST APIs and integrate with external systems.
• Build and improve distributed services for reliability and performance.
• Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar.
• Model relational data with PostgreSQL and Hibernate.
• Apply LLM/agentic AI techniques, RAG pipelines, tool interactions.
• Use AI tools like Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot with care.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver value.
