S&P Global Ratings in Paris is seeking a Middle Professional to lead end-to-end credit analysis, drive AI-enabled improvements, and coach junior staff. The role emphasizes governance, collaboration with Data/Engineering, and engagement with market participants.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of relevant experience and an academic background in finance. Office-based role with some travel required; strong written and oral English are essential, with French or German a plus.

Responsibilities:
Team Contribution & Capability Building
  • Provide day-to-day guidance/coaching to Research Assistants and Rating Analysts, building capability in credit, data discipline, and tooling and reinforcing values-ledbehaviours.
  • Drive consistency/scalability by codifying standard work and promoting disciplined adoption to strengthen trusted, repeatable insights.
  • Strengthen AI-enabled productivity by creating reusable assets and proposing lightweight automationsthatfree capacity for human analysis and relationship work.
  • Foster continuous improvement by proposing enhancements that remove manual steps without compromising governance or judgement.
  • Partner with senior team members and Data/Engineering toidentifyand scale AI/automation use cases with governance-by-design, controls, and adoption support.
Core Analytical & Delivery
  • Lead end-to-end execution for assigned credits, ensuring high-quality analysis andtimelydelivery across priorities with clear accountability.
  • Own surveillance/updates for assigned portfolio,synthesisingperformance, market signals, and peer context into decision-useful insights and clear implications for risk.
  • Supporting LLM tools/automation being embedded to accelerate workflows, followed by structured validation and refinement using analytical judgement tomaintaintrusted conclusions.
  • Operate alongside AI agents in recurring workflows.
  • Prepare/review inputs, reconcile metrics, document assumptions/changes to ensure adherence to methodologies/standard operating procedures.
  • Prepare/review key outputs ensuring clarity and alignment tomethodology/sector frameworks and evidentiary standards.
  • Support maintenance/review of models to ensure robustness and repeatability and clear linkage to risk views.
Stakeholder & Market Engagement
  • Engage with external parties alongside senior team members.
  • Crafts client and executive-ready stories that translate complex data, analysis, and research into a clear narrative.Advising onissues within clear parameters,integratingand communicating complex information to convey S&P’s analyticalexpertiseand drive engagement with market participants.
  • Building trusted stakeholder relationships through emotionally intelligent,collaborativeand adaptable delivery.
Risk Management and Operating
  • Ensure adherence tomethodology/confidentiality/data governance; elevate issues early with options/recommendations to protect integrity and trust.
  • Embed responsible, governed AI use: approved tools/data only; protect confidential info.
  • Drive controlled automation/agentic workflows by contributing to design requirements/controls, supporting testing/rollout, and training others.
  • Supports decisions relating to guardrails for automation: defining what can be automated vs must remain human-led (especially material risk calls and committee conclusions).

  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English are essential. Fluency in French or German would be a plus.
  • A willingness to travel across Europe for meetings, occasionally on short notice.
  • Practical experience embedding AI/LLMs/agents into workflows to improve productivity and insight.
  • Strong analytical tool capability; willingness to learn data/automation tools tofacilitateAI-enabled workflows.
Stakeholder & Market Engagement
  • Prepare concise narratives for senior stakeholders/committees with transparent evidence.
  • Effective written and verbal communicator, able to present research and analysis in a clear, structured way that supports informed decision making.
Risk Management and Operating
  • High standardsfor quality, traceability, and governance;operateseffectively in controlled environments.
  • Sound judgement on responsible AI use.
  • Ability to contribute to scalable automation/agent workflows.
Additional Information
  • An S&P Global employee at this level would typically havethree to fiveyears’of relevant work experience.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. A master’s degree or professional certification (such as CFA) is highly valued. We welcome candidates from traditional finance disciplines as well as diverse academic backgrounds that support innovative and critical thinking.
  • Employeesare required towork from the office a minimum of two days per week.
