Job summary

Kandou Ai in Saint-Sulpice, France, is seeking an experienced analog IC designer to join a fast-growing semiconductor startup. You will model high-frequency circuits, push abstraction levels, and deliver reusable sub-block models that balance accuracy and simulation speed.

You will work with architects and designers, use VerilogA/SystemVerilog/Python/ Matlab for modelling, and leverage Cadence tools, Ocean, and MDL to automate simulations. A strong communicator and self-starter with a B.Eng.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in analog IC design and modelling.
• Hands-on experience with analog circuit design and high-frequency modelling.
• Experience modelling analog circuits using VerilogA, SystemVerilog, Python or Matlab.
• Familiar with Cadence analog design EDA tools.
• Experienced using Ocean and MDL to automate analog simulations.
• Strong communications and presentations skills.
• An autonomous self-starter that is also a team player.
• B.Eng. or equivalent in Electrical Engineering / Microelectronics.

Responsibilities

• Design circuit models with abstraction levels from mathematical description to back extracted circuit performance.
• Deliver circuit models that generate sub-block circuit specifications from architecture and system models.
• Verify post-layout sub-blocks deliver specified performance.
• Communicate effectively with technical leads, designers and system modelling team to optimize block specifications and performance.
• Document and present performance of modelled sub-circuits through the design cycle.
• Document modelling methodology and correlate abstraction levels with simulations.
• Innovate and deliver creative modelling solutions for analog circuits.
• Maintain rigorous quality using Kandou’s design process flow.
