Job summary

vector8 is hiring a Product Owner to join the AI Platform product and engineering team in Paris. You will shape the product strategy, own the backlog, and work closely with engineers and client-facing consultants to ship valuable increments every sprint.

You will lead discovery with high-level stakeholders, translate insights into requirements, and guide releases that meet regulatory expectations while driving adoption of AI governance solutions.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years in a Product Owner or Product Manager role on a B2B software product, ideally a technical or platform product.
• A track record of owning a backlog end to end and shipping in short cycles with a cross-functional engineering team.
• Strong working knowledge of modern AI: LLMs, RAG, agents and agentic workflows and evaluating trade-offs.
• Solid command of Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban) and tooling such as Jira and Confluence.
• Experience running user discovery and turning insights into prioritized requirements.
• Excellent written communication and ability to communicate with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritise the AI Platform product backlog, ordered by value, risk and dependencies.
• Translate roadmaps into epics, user stories and acceptance criteria for engineers.
• Run discovery with clients and internal teams to map real problems into product requirements.
• Lead sprint ceremonies: refinement, planning, reviews and demos; accept or reject work.
• Explain trade-offs between new features, platform robustness, security and debt with the tech lead.
• Define and track product metrics to steer priorities.
• Ensure compliance and auditability for regulated clients (GDPR, EU AI Act).
• Prepare releases with engineering and go‑to‑market colleagues: notes and demos.
• Contribute to pricing, packaging and positioning for the product.
