Job summary

Doctolib is seeking a Senior AI Engineer for the Patient team in Paris. You will design and implement production-grade search and recommendation systems to help hundreds of millions of patients find the right care, with a strong focus on latency, reliability, and maintainability.

Collaborate with ML engineers, PMs, and software engineers to ship AI-powered features that deliver measurable value. You will work on embeddings, vector search, RAG, and LLM-based rerankers, with a focus on strong

Qualifications

• Experience shipping search or recommendation systems to production.
• Ability to deploy algorithms and services in a production environment (ECS-based on AWS).
• Experience with end-to-end retrieval pipelines: ranking, reranking, and evaluation metrics (e.g., nDCG, MAP).
• Familiarity with embeddings, vector search, semantic retrieval, and LLM-based or managed rerankers.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the production search and recommendation architecture (vector search, semantic retrieval, LLM-based rerankers).
• Establish strong baselines with prompts, RAG, and model selection.
• Incorporate evaluation and observability at every stage (offline/online, A/B testing).
• Set up data/event feedback loops to drive ML iterations.
• Improve search relevance and ranking on Patient-facing products.
• Own production quality: latency, reliability, monitoring, maintainability.
• Collaborate with ML Engineers, PMs, and SWEs to ship AI-powered features.
