Job summary

Axelera AI is seeking an experienced Senior AI Application Engineer focused on model enablement. You will own LLM and VLM support for Metis and Europa AIPUs, studying new models, shipping them in the Voyager SDK, and working with AI coding agents daily.

The role blends deep ML inference with production software engineering. Remote-friendly with offices in multiple European locations and open to relocation within Europe.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with ML inference focus.
• Strong Python and PyTorch, shipping production-quality software.
• Deep knowledge of transformer inference, KV caching and decoding.
• Experience with AI coding agents on real codebases.
• Ability to translate research ideas into practical designs.

Responsibilities

• LLM/VLM study: analyze new models and architectures and profile on Metis/Europa.
• Productization: turn ML results into Voyager SDK features with stable APIs.
• Model-side contracts: define input/output/weights and provide to compiler team.
• Pipeline integration: enable LLM/VLM serving in Voyager SDK pipelines.
• Quality: measure against references and explain gaps.
• Bring-up platform: extend environment access to hardware for evaluations.
• GenAI direction: advise Voyager SDK needs for GenAI and edge agents.
