Covenant Health is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Accounting & Finance team. The role focuses on the compilation, analysis, and reporting of financial data, and includes developing and maintaining analysis systems, budget preparation, and leadership for finance staff.

The Senior Accountant will interact with leadership and external auditors, coordinating with managers on budgets and financial reporting while guiding junior staff and participating in system improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: B.S. in Accounting or Finance (or related business degree) or Associate’s Degree in Accounting/Business with 10+ years of experience.
• Minimum Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and extensive knowledge of GAAP.

Responsabilités

• Prepare annual budgets in collaboration with managers and coordinate work of other accountants.
• Enter the most complex monthly journal entries and work with IT to improve systems and controls.
• Perform analyses and studies, review financial reports, and support management decisions.
• Prepare audit workpapers and assist less experienced staff.
• Provide leadership and direction for staff and participate in system-wide committees.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

Associate’s Degree in Accounting/Business and 10+ years of experience
