The ideal candidate will handle recording, reporting, tax compliance, and payroll processes, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness, while adapting to local regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent in accounting/finance.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience.
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS.
• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software.
• CPA (US) or ACCA/ACA/CIMA (UK) preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Must have reliable backup power and internet, and a working laptop.

Responsabilités

• Record daily financial transactions in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor AP/AR.
• Compute tax payments, prepare returns, and process payroll.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control initiatives.
• Support internal and external audits with documentation.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage our daily accounting operations and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of either US GAAP or UK Accounting Principles (IFRS/UK GAAP), providing accurate, timely financial data to support our business growth. This role involves managing accounts, ensuring tax compliance, and providing strategic financial insights to management.

Job Responsibilities

• Financial Record Management: Accurately record daily financial transactions, including expenses, revenue, and invoices in the general ledger.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and profit/loss statements, in compliance with US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS.
• Reconciliation & Compliance: Perform bank reconciliations, monitor AP/AR, and ensure compliance with all federal, state, or UK tax regulations.
• Tax & Payroll: Compute tax payments, prepare tax returns, and process payroll, ensuring compliance with local laws.
• Analysis & Budgeting: Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and expense monitoring to identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience of 3-5 years as an Accountant or similar role.
• Knowledge: Strong, demonstrable understanding of US GAAP or UK Accounting Principles (IFRS/UK GAAP).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, SAP).
• Certification: CPA (for US) or ACCA/ACA/CIMA (for UK) is preferred.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Must have a strong back-up power supply and internet supply, and a working laptop.
