Wandercraft in Paris is seeking a skilled control engineer to join the Whole Body Control team. You will develop control algorithms for exoskeletons and humanoid robots, from mathematical formulation and simulation to deployment and validation on real robots.

You will work on locomotion, manipulation, multi-contact control and motion generation with emphasis on robustness, performance and real-time execution.

Qualifications

• Hands-on robotics experience with control, motion generation or trajectory optimization in industry, research or major academic projects.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
• Solid understanding of robotics fundamentals (kinematics, dynamics, sensor data).

Responsabilités

• Develop whole-body control algorithms for floating-base robots.
• Design control strategies using MPC and NMPC.
• Develop online and offline trajectory optimization and motion generation algorithms.
• Improve whole-body trajectory tracking for locomotion and manipulation.
• Model robot dynamics, contacts and environmental interactions.
• Implement state-estimation approaches using sensor data.
• Explore learning-based approaches where relevant.
• Write efficient, maintainable software for robots.
• Test and validate algorithms on real exoskeletons and humanoid robots.
