Advocate Health’s Admission Holding Unit (AHU), Throughput Unit (5C) and Med/Surg Overflow (4A) deliver inpatient care while supporting patient flow in a high‑volume setting. Graduation from an accredited nursing program with BSN or BS in related field and two years of nursing experience is required; MSN is preferred.

Licensure in the applicable state, BCLS, ACLS within 1 year, and PALS where indicated are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with BSN or BS in related field and two years of nursing experience.
• MSN preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provides leadership with the Nurse Manager to staff and meet goals while upholding standards and evidence-based practice.
• Facilitates orientation, credentialing, and ongoing professional development for staff.
• Collaborates with other departments to coordinate nursing care across the continuum.
• Promotes a culture of safety and maintains patient rights, privacy and confidentiality.
• Participates in budget planning and supports shared governance for clinical practice.
