Jobtailor in Lyon, France seeks an IT Support/Field Technician to diagnose faults, install hardware and deploy software for retail environments. You will work with back-office and network gear, ensure system imaging, perform backups, and implement alert systems. Travel and weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities include repairing equipment, testing procedures, recording receipts/returns, and providing user support while keeping stock updated and reporting progress to the team lead.

Qualifications

• Diploma up to Bachelor’s level in computer systems and software or proven IT sector experience.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose faults and malfunctions affecting equipment.
• Consult knowledge bases to identify solutions.
• Repair equipment and perform testing at each stage.
• Install new hardware and deploy required software.
• Prevent failures via imaging, backups, and alert systems.
• Provide user support and follow-up.
• Record equipment receipt and returns.
• Place hardware orders and monitor stock.
• Track interventions in OMTI.
• Prepare reports and close tickets.
• Communicate with team leader about malfunctions, delays, or issues.
• Restore IT, network, and telecommunications equipment to working condition.
• Support users.
