The role covers data collection, modeling, implementation, and publication of articles or patents, mentoring juniors, and collaboration with operational teams on diverse environments from cloud to embedded devices.

Qualifications

• Education: PhD or Engineering School.
• Experience in image processing, computer vision, deep learning.
• Strong background in mathematics and data analysis.
• Fluent in written and spoken French and English.

The methods used are bayesian methods, machine learning, deep learning (CNN, GAN...), and all methods used in computer vision for still images and optimized automated video analysis.

The methods used are bayesian methods, machine learning, deep learning (CNN, GAN...), and all methods used in computer vision for still images and optimized automated video analysis.

• The study and development of new state-of-the-art algorithms
• Optimization of the algorithms
• Performance measurement and analysis
• Technology watch and analysis of the state of the art of research
• Expertise to analyze problems encountered in the field, and win benchmarks
• Support to operational teams to define the best customized solutions for specific customers
• Support to integration in environments as diverse as professional servers in the cloud or on-premises, embedded devices, or smartphones

The scope of application will depend on the candidate's previous experience and potential opportunities within IDEMIA Public Security. Profile description:

• Education: PhD or Engineering School.
• First significant experience in image processing, computer vision, deep learning
• Strong background in mathematics, data analysis
• Proficiency with python. Experience with C/C++ will be a plus
• Ability to handle large amounts of data and work in a research environment, i.e. in an unfamiliar field
• Knowledge of biometrics will be a plus
