Job summary

EUROPEAN DYNAMICS Group is seeking a Database Administrator to join the development team remotely within the EU. The role integrates with a major client’s IT team to oversee database installation, configuration, monitoring and security across multi-tier applications.

The candidate should have a university IT degree with extensive experience in database design, tuning, and disaster recovery, plus excellent English language skills.

Qualifications

University IT degree with 10+ years IT experience.
Minimum 6 years in modelling tools (e.g. UML).
Minimum 5 years with RDBMS.
Experience in database design and modelling (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MsSQL).
Experience in Database Administration, Tuning, Management and Security.
Excellent knowledge of application development environments.
Experience in backup/restore strategies using full and log backups.
Experience in high-availability and disaster recovery.
Strong documentation skills and English proficiency.

Install, configure and administer databases.
Monitor and tune database performance.
Install, configure and manage applications.
