EggAI is leading a UK-facing banking transformation programme with remote execution and London-based gate weeks. You will define what it means for the platform to be production-ready, and shape the operating model and contracts between client teams and managed service providers to support change and readiness at scale.

The role reports to the Programme Plan and Execution Lead and requires regular London presence during gate weeks and workshops, while remaining remote for other workstreams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in leading IT operations teams.
• Experience aligning operations with development, engineering and business.
• Experience introducing SLOs and error budgets.
• Deep infrastructure knowledge: telemetry, redundancies, backups.
• Incident management with post-incident reviews driving changes.
• Experience in regulated financial services or audit-heavy environments.

Responsabilités

• Reliability targets - set the SLO and error-budget framework with the client, adoption by service owners, and measurable quality indicators for agentic workloads.
• Observability and detection - define Tier-1 services and agentic workloads emission, require automated traceability from alerts to services and owners, close logging gaps.
• The incident and change path - set runbook standards, extend incident classification and change-failure measurements, ensure ownership of it.
• Capacity and performance - direct headroom through parallel-run peak at cutover, support chaos/ game-day for payment rails and core ledger, ensure capacity modeling covers inference workloads.
• Gate evidence - own the content of Operational Acceptance Report and Readiness Certificate, reliability sections of gate packs, and ADR-reviewed NFRs.
• The operating organisation - decide ownership split between client teams and MSPs and lead the people through that change.
