This role evolves into becoming a cultural ambassador for the language market, producing localized content and flagging cultural issues.

The ideal candidate has a journalism or related background, strong writing skills, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in journalism or related field with writing samples.
• Experience in translation and localization of multimedia content.
• Ability to detect issues and inconsistencies in large content sets.
• Wide knowledge of music, TV, cinema, gaming and pop culture.
• Own language market and make linguistic decisions with confidence.
• Highly detail-oriented with multitasking and deadline skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of iOS/macOS is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.
• Collaborative in a multicultural environment.

Responsabilités

• Localize, translate and adapt content across categories while adhering to style guides.
• Write new copy for multimedia products (music, TV, apps, video content).
• Perform linguistic reviews of own work and others' in localization team.
• Copy-edit and fact-check content for accuracy.
• Conduct Localization QA testing for content on live platforms.
• Market-specific research on content trends and best practices.
• Transcribe spoken content such as lyrics.
• Report data/assets across media content types.
• Create training material and train team on terminology and style.
• Collaborate with the global language team via meetings and emails.
