CoderPad in France (remote) is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to own end-to-end design and delivery of full-stack features. You will blend hands-on coding with technical leadership, driving architecture decisions and ensuring reliability and scalability.

You’ll work with distributed teams across the EMEA region and collaborate asynchronously with US counterparts, maintaining CET/CEST hours and a remote-first approach.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including senior or lead-level ownership.
• Proficiency in React, Java, Ruby, Node.js, and SQL.
• Solid experience designing scalable, reliable systems and conducting thorough code reviews.
• Comfortable working autonomously in a distributed, remote-first environment.
• Hands-on experience leveraging AI tools to ship faster and automate tasks.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop new full-stack features (React/TypeScript on frontend, Java/Node.js/Ruby on backend) with Product Manager and designer.
• Use AI coding assistants to accelerate feature delivery and automate repetitive tasks.
• Contribute to architectural and technical design decisions within the team.
• Write automated tests and ensure code quality through reviews.
• Deploy and monitor features in production using GitLab, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices.
• Partner with Product and other teams to scope, prioritise, and deliver impactful work.
