CoderPad is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our EMEA Engineering team in France (remote). You will design, build, and ship features across our full stack, taking ownership of complex technical problems end to end and raising the engineering bar for the EMEA team.

You'll combine hands-on coding with technical leadership, drive architecture decisions, and work with Product and design. Expect React/TypeScript frontend and Java/Node.js/Ruby backend, deployment in AWS/Kubernetes, and AI

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in a backend language (Java, Ruby, Node.js) and a modern frontend framework (React) with SQL.
• Experience designing scalable systems and conducting thorough code reviews.
• Ability to work autonomously in a distributed, remote-first environment.
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate delivery and reduce boilerplate.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop new full-stack features (React/TypeScript frontend; Java/Node.js/Ruby backend).
• Use AI coding assistants to accelerate delivery and automate boilerplate.
• Contribute to architectural and technical design decisions within the team.
• Write automated tests and ensure code quality through reviews.
• Deploy and monitor features in production (GitLab, AWS, Kubernetes).
• Collaborate with Product and other teams to scope, prioritise, and deliver impactful work.
