SEIDOR in Strasbourg is seeking an experienced Senior Biometrics Specialist to join a project supporting eu-LISA. You will provide subject-matter expertise in biometric matching, AFIS technologies and biometric workflows on large-scale security systems.

The role focuses on analysis, optimization and continuous improvement, evaluating performance, data quality and operational procedures, and collaborating with stakeholders across border-management environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9 years IT experience.
• At least 5 years hands-on AFIS experience with major systems.
• At least 3 years experience in biometric workflows for border control.
• Experience with fingerprint, palm-print and facial image processing.
• Experience in biometric performance, accuracy and data-quality principles.
• Experience analysing biometric system logs.
• Experience in security-sensitive or mission-critical IT environments.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC biometric standards, ANSI/NIST and ICAO optional assets.

Responsabilités

• Provide subject-matter expertise on biometric matching operations, workflows and operational processes.
• Act as a biometric/technical AFIS expert in the development and evolution of biometric solutions.
• Evaluate biometric workflows, efficiency, performance and quality-control processes.
• Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations on biometric methodologies and operational procedures.
• Contribute to the preparation of technical proposals, reports, specifications and supporting documentation.
• Support the definition of biometric performance requirements for different business domains.
• Analyse biometric accuracy and performance results and propose corrective actions where necessary.
• Analyse operational and technical logs and prepare reports with findings and recommendations.
• Follow technical developments and innovations in biometric technologies, including algorithms, standards and systems.
• Participate in biometric working groups and technical meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
